FOR EMPLOYERS AND PARTNERS

The Military Connected Process

We engage your military-connected talent using our powerful referral and re-discovery process.

Based on your roles and hiring goals, we connect you with top talent and organizations to attract, support, and engage the right hire.

Our Military Advisory Services team works with your organization every step of the way, ensuring your hiring process is designed with the needs, experiences, and perspectives of the military-connected community in mind.

Getting Military-Connected

Despite their unique experiences, skillsets, and perspectives, the military-connected community struggles to find fulfilling civilian roles with long-term success.

MilitaryConnected.org and our Military Advisory Services reform your culture to attract, support, and engage this diverse talent pool.

Today's Reality

42% of veteran talent leave their first civilian job within one year.

80% leave within two years.

 Underemployment also disproportionately affects veterans:

  • 70% of veterans take a step back in their first civilian job, compared to the role they held in the military.

  • They’re nearly 16 percent more likely to be underemployed than their civilian counterparts.

  • The cost of replacing an employee can range from one-half to two times their salary. Research also found that 70 percent of the reasons for employee turnover are preventable.

Our mission is to provide resources and opportunities for active service members and their spouses so they can thrive in their post-service lives.

To our service members, we encourage you to apply to jobs on our platform, you can also refer them to your military network. Some jobs have a referral bonus! So you get paid on a successful referral.

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit program was enacted in 1996 and is a federal tax incentive that encourages employers to hire individuals from certain targeted groups who face significant barriers to employment. One of these groups includes qualified veterans. WOTC incentivizes companies to hire veterans, helping to reduce unemployment among veterans while providing financial benefits to businesses (up to $9,600 per veteran hire).

You’re not alone. A study by CareerBuilder found that 71% of employers struggle to understand how military skills translate into job-specific requirements. MilitaryConnected’s team of military advisors can provide the human touch you need to have a more inclusive hiring process and leverage our AI-driven military occupational specialty (MOS) code translator.

Employee referrals are effective because candidates get hired 55% faster, are 4 times more likely to be hired, and stay 46% longer. By extending referrals to the military community, you tap into trusted networks of an underutilized talent pool, speeding up hiring and enhancing team diversity and expertise.
