MilitaryConnected.org Announces U.S. Air Force Veteran Jon Safran as Chief Military Engagement Advisor

The former Superintendent of Maintenance and Personnel of Air Force One will ensure the nonprofit stays dedicated to the military-connected community

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – MilitaryConnected.org, America’s only organization ensuring every member of America’s military-connected community has equal access to the resources necessary to unlock their full potential, today announced retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Jon Safran as the nonprofit’s Chief Military Engagement Advisor. Safran is primed to deliver top military talent to Military Ready employers ready to attract, support, and engage the military-connected community.

“Jon’s resume and track record speak for themselves; he has led in the military, veteran, nonprofit, and government sectors, excelling throughout,” said Robert Archibald, Chair of MilitaryConnected.org’s Board of Directors and Founder and CEO of Aliro, Inc. “With Jon on the team, MilitaryConnected.org is more ready than ever to empower the military-connected community and connect them to meaningful employment with supportive employers.”

Throughout his 23-year military career, Jon received three Meritorious Service Medals, six Air Force Commendation Medals, three Achievement Medals, and was named the White House Military Office’s Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. Since retiring from the Air Force, Jon has served as the Vice President of the East Coast Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, remains a Director of the Veterans Success Resource Group, and has held various county government roles.

MilitaryConnected.org aims to combat America’s veteran attrition problem. Research shows that underemployment disproportionately affects veterans as they are 70% more likely to step back in seniority in their first civilian jobs when compared to their military roles, and are nearly 16% more likely to be underemployed than their civilian counterparts.

“Veterans and service members at all levels have trouble finding meaningful employment that fully utilize our diverse skillsets and cultivate environments for us to thrive,” Safran stated. “I will use every tool, every person, and every network I have, and my 23 years of service, to connect our veterans to the services MilitaryConnected.org offers and end the veteran attrition problem.”
