Who We Are

We are a nonprofit organization with a passion for helping each member of the military-connected community realize their full potential as employees, students, and leaders in their communities.

What We Do

Our programs serve the military-connected community wherever they are in their transition from the military to civilian life and provide employers the resources to better attract, support, and engage military-connected talent.

Talent Engagement

More than a traditional job board, MILCON is the world’s only crowdsourced recruitment and talent engagement platform purpose-built for the military-connected community through referrals, content-driven conversations, and smart-matching technology.

Data-Driven Research

Our Data and Research Center of Excellence leverages data collected via the MAS and MILCON programs to conduct coordinated research projects for stakeholders to improve the lives of our members.

Employer Education

Our Military Advisory Services program helps employers go beyond being friendly towards the military-connected community. We teach them how to become military-ready through a proprietary four-phase consultancy and engagement program.

How Are We Different?

While we’re targeted in our approach, we think broadly about the ways we can impact the journey of a military-connected member from entering military service to succeeding in civilian life. Our technology is democratized; our approach is specific to each segment of the military-connected community; and our solutions are bespoke for each partner.

The Problems We’re Trying to Solve:

Underemployment disproportionately affects veterans.

  • They’re 70 percent more likely to step back in seniority in their first civilian jobs when compared to the roles they held in the military.
  • They’re nearly 16 percent more likely to be underemployed than their civilian counterparts.
  • Forty-two percent of veteran talent leave their first civilian job in one year.
  • Eighty percent leave in two years.
  • This is 10 percent higher than their civilian counterparts.
The cost of replacing an employee can range from one-half to two times their salary. Research also found that 70 percent of the reasons for employee turnover are preventable.
